Teams: Brockworth Primary School, Shurdington Primary School, Birdlip Primary School, Coberley CE Primary School, Sheepscombe Primary School, Cranham Primary School
A nice sunny day was welcome for the start of the second Brockworth Albion Schools Tournament. Credit must go to the 6 well turned out teams who took part, in what transpired to be a very competitive tournament. Albeit it must be said that unfortunately some of the sides were a little unevenly matched.
We would especially like to congratulate Cranham Primary School who entered the Tournament with a side consisting of younger players and competed very well indeed.
The final match to decide who won the Tournament was between Coberley CE Primary and Birdlip Primary. This match epitomised the Tournament and was very competitive, culminating in a 0-0 draw. Coberley CE Primary however were declared Tournament winners though thanks to their superior +1 goal difference.
Summarising all the teams really enjoyed the day and all the participants were awarded a certificate each as a memento of the Tournament.
Brockworth Albion Football Club would like to offer a special thank you to Gary Norris for organising the Tournament and also to Mike and Andy for their assistance in creating a thoroughly entertaining day for all of participating School's.
