HISTORY

Brockworth Albion Football Club formed in 2002-2003 after Brockworth AFC and ICI Fibres amalgamated.

The merger was voted and agreed upon during the early season of 2001-02 which also enabled the newly formed 1st XI to use the superior Woodlawn’s club facilities (formally ICI club).

There were many reasons behind the merger, not only to strengthen the newly formed club side and stop one another competing for local players but primarily to secure the future of football in Brockworth.  The joint committee aims to promote and encourage all youth team players to look forward to playing senior football through evolution.

During the present 2006-2007 season Brockworth Albion Football Club are running 13 teams:-

1st XI - Northern Senior Division 1, 2nd XI - Cheltenham League Division 2
3rd XI - Cheltenham League Division 4, 4th XI - Stroud League Division 6

Youth sides across the spectrum - Under 7's through to Under 16's
